They Call Me Mellow Yellow…

What a wonderful photo shoot this was! As a West Palm Beach newborn photographer I spend a lot of time with cute little babies. Pink is the most requested color for a little girl’s newborn session. While I love pink when Catarina’s mom told me she preferred yellow, oooh was I ever excited! During the editing of this images form this session I couldn’t help but hum a few songs from childhood road trips. My father is a great lover of Donavan and we listened to his songs on repeat during these trips. They Call Me Mellow Yellow and the song Colours with the lyrics “yellow is the color of my true love’s hair, in the morning…” oh what a fabulous mood these sunshiny photos have me in!

Older Newborn:

At 21 days old Catarina was considered to be an “older” newborn. A typical newborn session takes place by two weeks of age. This helps assure baby will be super sleepy and flexible. When Catarina’s mom reached out her baby girl was approaching three weeks. We went over expectations and how to prepare so we would have the most successful session possible. Boy did we ever!
