Can you believe how fast time flies? It feels like just yesterday we were capturing those tiny newborn details for Ezra in the studio, and now here we are celebrating his first birthday with the most fun, custom-themed cake smash in Boca Raton! ⚾️
This little guy is a true New York Yankees fan (ok it is really his father), so we went all out to create a Yankees-inspired experience that was equal parts adorable, playful, and totally on-brand. From the custom backdrop to the perfectly matching cake, every detail screamed “Let’s go Yankees!”

Starting Strong: Pre-Smash in the Sports Locker Room
We kicked off the session with some sweet, clean pre-smash photos in our classic sports stadium setup. Ezra looked so cool and confident in his tiny Yankees gear, posing like a little pro athlete ready for the big leagues.
What’s extra special? We used the exact same backdrop for his big brother’s cake smash photos one year ago! Big brother had his own hockey-themed session as a proud NY Rangers fan (complete with that classic blue, red, and white vibe). Seeing the two brothers side by side in the same setup is just too cute for words—brotherly love meets team spirit!

The Main Event: Yankee Stadium Cake Smash Magic
The star of the show? A custom-ordered Yankees-themed cake ! I also created a Yankee Stadium backdrop to make Ezra feel like he was right in the middle of the action at the ballpark.
Once the cake was in front of him, it was game on! Ezra dove right in with pure joy—smashing, squishing, and savoring every messy bite. These candid moments of him enjoying his first taste of birthday cake are always the sweetest (and stickiest!) part of the session. The pure delight on his face? Priceless.

Wrapping Up with Bubbles and Bliss
After all that cake excitement, we ended the session on the sweetest note possible—a super adorable bubble bath cleanup! Nothing beats watching a one-year-old splash around in warm, bubbly water, giggling and getting squeaky clean after their big smash adventure. These soft, relaxed final photos are always a favorite—pure relaxation after the wild fun.
