In my years of offering family photography in Boca Raton I have had the honor to work with many wonderful families. Clients may choose to book a family session so I can capture precious baby milestones, a growing family, or the months before an eldest child leaves for college. When Allison called to book her photoshoot I knew this was going to be a very special evening. Our session was not just about capturing her beautiful family but it was an anniversary celebration. Our photo session date was the one year anniversary of her diagnosis with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Allison is a warrior and an amazing mom and wife. Please read more about her journey below.
Allison’s Diagnosis:
In November of 2022 Allison McNeill was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer called Triple Negative Breast Cancer. She was only 36 years old at the time with no family history of breast cancer. This diagnosis came as a complete shock to the family. This form of breast cancer requires a rigorous six month chemotherapy treatment plan followed by a double mastectomy. Thankfully in July of 2023 Allison was declared cancer free! The McNeills buckled down and made it through the storm together. Coming out of it stronger than ever and forming an unimaginable bond. Allison is so thankful for her husband, Jarret, and their two children, Tristan and Ophelia, for their endless love and support through this journey! Allison is now an ambassador for the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation. March is Triple Negative Breast Cancer Awareness month.
